Dusty Hess brings over two decades of hands-on experience to every project he takes on but what truly sets him apart is the way he treats people. A devoted family man and lifelong resident of Ashe County, Dusty built his business on the same principles he lives by every day: hard work, honesty, and treating others the way he’d want to be treated.
From the moment you meet him, you’ll notice Dusty isn’t your average contractor. He’s the kind of person who shows up on time, keeps his word, and genuinely cares about doing right by his clients. To him, construction isn’t just about building homes it’s about building trust. He takes the time to understand what each client wants and needs, and he works closely with them to make sure the finished product reflects their vision.

Our Story
We were born and raised right here in Ashe County, and we take great pride in calling this beautiful part of North Carolina home. Our journey in the building industry began back in 2000 when we first got our start working in masonry and concrete. Those early years gave us a strong foundation—both literally and figuratively—as we honed our craft and built a reputation for quality, reliability, and hard work.
After gaining valuable experience and developing solid relationships in the field, we naturally began to branch out into general construction a few years later. Before long, we were taking on full home builds for clients, turning their ideas and visions into places they could proudly call home. As our skills and confidence grew, we decided to take on a new challenge: flipping houses. That venture proved to be a great success, and it wasn’t long before we began building spec homes—homes built without a buyer in place—with the goal of selling them on the open market. At the same time, we continued to take on custom home projects for clients who were looking for something unique and personal.
Today, our work is a blend of both building beautiful homes for sale while also working closely with clients to bring their dream homes to life. We do everything that you could possibly need from renovations to stick built construction. Through it all, our commitment to quality craftsmanship and honest work continues to guide everything we do.
